Breaking Soccer Rhode Island Office News:
The Soccer Rhode Island General Council will meet on August 25, 2008, 7:00 pm at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Warwick. Items to be discussed at the meeting are posted on the Office Info, AGM page.
Soccer-RI would like to congratulate the eight boys who joined forces from the premiere teams of Bruno and Bayside that went on to win the United States Futsal Federation's 23rd National Championship in the Under 16 group on Sunday July 13th, 2008 in Baltimore Maryland. When these lads are not playing or practicing, some of them also volunteer some of their spare time with Project Goal. Keep up the good work lads!
Soccer RI is looking for SPONSORS
By unanimous vote, the Soccer RI member associations
have mandated a Photo ID Pass & background check on every adult volunteer
involved in Youth Soccer. Soccer RI is looking for business sponsors
for each Photo ID Pass (including coaches, assistant coaches, volunteers
and referees), beginning in the Fall and lasting two years. We will proudly
place your logo, discount coupon or message on the backside of each
PASS for the two-year period. We expect to have several thousand passes
distributed this fall.
